Where to Invest $50,000?

200x60

I have ,000 that is just sitting there. I have seen some Forex Sites that promise good returns on managed accounts. I am a bit cautious of those since they can just blow my money.

I have also heard of some Forex accounts that are insured- like in Canada.

Can someone recommend something legit?

I have looked at 5% bank accounts and I am just wondering if there is something higher than that. More agressive with more manageable risk. Legit and audited, registered with BBB if possible.

Any ideas?

Personally, I would have a hard time entrusting my money to a stranger in a Forex managed account. As you pointed out there is no guarantee that they wont just lose your money. I am sure it is alot easier for them to take increased risks with your money that trading their own funds.

You are on the right track looking towards the Forex market for higher returns. What most people do not realize is that there are conservative strategies that can be utilized in the Forex market that will reduce the risks and generate a consistent monthly return greater than what a bank will pay you in a year!

I guess the question is …’Do you want to put YOUR money in the bank….or do you want to put YOUR money where the bank puts YOUR money?"

Dump it all into Yahoo stocks. Once they become partners with Microsoft they’re stocks are supposed to DOUBLE. This is huge. They will be more ‘successful’ than Google.com.

I’d put it in life settlements. 15-16% average returns with little risk. Google it and find more info yourself.

I would go for the 5% bank accounts, but I am not a risktaker.
I have known many more people to invest and lose money thatn invest and actually get anything back.
I have a roth ira account, too, but that is low-risk as well.
If you are business savvy and have a specialized field that you want to develop, I would say that the most fun, exciting, and fufilling way to invest would be to start your own business. It’s good for the economy and it is adventurous!

I would put it into a high yield account for 6 months to a year and make it off the interest.

First, pay off any debts you have. Likely you are paying out more in interest on debts that you could collect on interest from your 50K. Plus, you have more cash freed up at the end of the month.

I hear you on investments…I’m not much of a risk taker, as I too got stung with the 2000 market crash. It’s taken me about this long to recover.

The trick for you will be to find something that gives you a better return than you are losing to inflation. Right now, that 50K sitting there becomes worth less with each and every passing month. With that in mind money market accounts are useless, or just tread water.

I like long term CD’s. Shop around to banks, and sometimes you can find a long term above 5% and get it locked in.

you can invest your money at a stock like AENS.OB. A great protential growth stock with a 1y Target Est: 36.80 and now its just 0.98.
Act now before its too late for that.
It would become your first milestone.
